I was just wondering ...Thanks for your answer, Ben.
I was just wondering that if a non believer happens to get into your blog, how long would that person take to find out that the basis of all your beautiful family life is Jesus? If you do not mention your faith so often, how are non christians going to know the source and foundation of your life?

Carolina J.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8731008858277451197.post-10119895162229870212011-09-19T11:13:24.112-07:002011-09-19T11:13:24.112-07:00Carolina,

(Sorry, I know I am not the celebrity of the two of us, but people say I am pretty cute...)

It is so easy to ask a question that seems simple, but I could write a book on my answer. Since we are in the blogosphere, I'll try to give you the abridged answer. Christ is the foundation of our lives, marriage, and everything we do. On that foundation, we have built our views, which ultimately effects every action we make, every day. It so pervades our very being, that we could not separate it, any more than we can stop breathing. You said you can see the results of God in our lives? Good! That is exactly what we are trying for. In the same way that we want you to see that we are alive, and know that the only reason for that is because we are breathing, know that we are spiritually alive because we are "breathing" Christ. Adding a "Praise God", or a "Thank you Jesus" to prove the fact seems a little forced.

Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. ~ 1 John 2:3-5

Hopefully that gives you a little more insight into the Hector family. Thanks for the question, and happy reading!

Mrs. Rabe,

Seen two jackrabbits try their luck with the front of the car, but we've managed to evade any deadly incidents.

Mom,

Only 400 miles from Mountain Ranch, but as different as can be!

Jess,

I'll get Tiff to send you some!

Kelsey,

Sorry, we are going to miss NM this trip. But, we are talking about Texas at some point, so we will have to put you down as a waypoint.

Josiah,

Those are on the border of Nevada and Utah. I saw the exit for them, but it was about 1am, and I reeeally didn't feel up to it at that point! *grin*DeusPrimushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05627389628945138340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8731008858277451197.post-20705539530188074202011-09-19T06:24:53.266-07:002011-09-19T06:24:53.266-07:00Looks like y'all are having a blast!

I liked the contrast between California and Nevada - pretty amazing change in ecosystems. The sky away from all the lights is so amazing and something I'll never forget...now hitting jackrabbits? I got to your blog through your mom...Hi Tiffany,
I got to your blog through your mom's. I am also a homeschool mom, etc.
I enjoy your blog bec i also enjoy good food, but especially because it shows the beauty of a young christian marriage done "a la God" . It also shows a healthy way of living.
BUT... I think something is missing. You do not show very much your christian faith. You do show the results of it, but you do not mention often Jesus, The Word or the Church in your blog. Is there any reason for it?
In Christ.

Carolina JacksonAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
